Over the last few weeks I have picked up quite a few new makeup bits as Boots have been teasing me with their ‘buy one get one half price’ deal!
I have tested all of the products I am going to show you and I have pretty much nothing bad to say, and that nearly never happens to me so, I wanted to share my purchases with you guys!
Firstly, I bought three, yes, three Sleek Blushes and I am so so happy that I did grab these! The formula is beyond brilliant. Each blush is £4.95, which I think is really good for the formula and the gorgeous colours. I got the shades:
‘Rose Gold’- this is a duochrome hot pink and orangey peach shade, it is so smooth and soft on the cheeks.
‘Life is a peach’- a very bright matte peach shade, just very light and subtle on the cheeks, which I like because I was super nervous about getting such a vibrant colour!
‘Antique’- I have to admit I didn’t mean to pick up this blush because it is too dark for my very pale skintone, but this shade has the best formula and I still love the colour so I use this as an eyeshadow and I actually find myself picking it up quite frequently!!!
Next was another Sleek product! Ps. Not trying to do a self promo or anything.. but I have a whole post decided to some other Sleek products I have bought, if you were interested!
Anyway, I bought an I-Divine Eyeshadow palette, after my last one broke and I had to take out all of the eyeshadow pans and pop then in a Z Palette I have been avoiding their palettes. But, I finally gave in and bough the ‘A New Day’ palette as the neutral taupe shades really spoke to me.
As you probably already guessed the palette is creeping into my favourites, some of the matte shades are a tad chalky but that solves itself with a decent blender brush and at £8.99 for 12 colours I cannot complain!
More recently I went to Milton Keynes shopping centre and popped into Superdrug where I purchased the next two items in this mini haul!
MUA is one of my favourite durgstore brands, as it is super cheap for really decent products. I’ve seen a few reviews on the MUA Undress your skin highlighters, so I picked up the last two on the shelf which happened to be the shades, ‘Iridescent Gold’ and ‘Pink Shimmer’. I LOVE these highlighters, they are amazing! I can’t choose a favourite because the gold shade has an amazing formula and is so pigmented whilst the pink shade is such a stunning colour and when the light hits it your cheek glows with this beautiful pink shimmer (funnily enough).
If you have recently seen my newest addition to my blog, this being the ‘Favourite Products’ page then you would have seen one of the ‘Goddess of Love’ highlighters on there. Well, when I finally saw the original one on the shelf I grabbed it so quick I nearly threw my arm out of its socket as I have been searching for this for a while!!
The original is simply called: ‘Goddess of love’ after the entire line of highlighters. From just looking at the shade itself in the picture below you might question why this particular highlighter was so important because it looks like your generic yellow toned shade. But, when the light hits it above your cheekbone, it glows with an amazing peachy pink blend which I personally adore!
I already own two of the Maybelline 24hr Colour Tattoo cream eyeshadows, so I know the really good quality of the product. So that meant when I saw another deal (buy one get one half price), I knelt down on the shop floor and stared at all the colours that they have to offer.
I decided on two matte shades, ‘Creme de Rose’ and ‘Creamy Beige’. Both are very pigmented, smooth and very VERY blendable which I am still suprised by!
That is it for my mini haul! I love everything that I bought which is good, I hope I have inspired some of you to go out and grab some of these awesome products, as I very much recommend each and every one of them.
If you were wondering about my nails in this post. Here is the nail polish I am wearing at the minute. Its the Barry M Gelly Hi-Shine in ‘Papaya’. I love Barry M, and this colour is sooo pretty!! I am planning to do a nail polish collection post as I have over 50… whoops.
Love you all! And thank you for all your endless support and lovely comments. You make this blog a really happy and safe place.
See you soon,
